Commemorative Benches

Millions of visitors spend time all throughout our beautiful forest preserves. Your bench will offer lasting enjoyment for preserve and trail users and a meaningful way to mark an occasion or celebrate a loved one. Benches are available for installation along developed trails at most of our preserves and come with a 3-by-1.5-inch plaque engraved with your personalized inscription. Bench options include:

Planting a tree provides donors with an opportunity to make a gift to benefit future generations and is a beautiful way to support our restoration efforts. Many donors choose this option in honor or memory of a loved one, to celebrate an occasion, or to beautify their favorite preserve. Trees come with an 8-inch bronze marker engraved with your personal inscription.

The fee for commemorative trees is $1,250, which includes purchase of the tree, installation and maintenance costs, a mulch ring, and the purchase and engraving of your recognition plaque.

Fall tree planting is currently underway. We won't be planning for additional tree installations until spring.
