Improve the health of the Des Plaines River along the entire length of Lake County. Tasks involve removal of trash and log jams, creating safe passage for watercraft use. Volunteers must be able to safely transport refuse to shore, often getting muddy and wet.
This position requires general knowledge of canoeing and/or kayaking and the related safety equipment and procedures. Attendance at an in-house training program is required.
