Native Peoples’ Continuing Story

Illinois Learning Standards

Available year-round.

Native peoples have relied on activism, community and sharing their continuing story to keep their traditional knowledge and culture alive. Examine primary sources to learn about treaties, local events, protests and more that emphasize the relevancy of Native history today. This program was created in collaboration with our Native Peoples Advisory Group.

Field Trip

Runs 30-45 minutes.

Location: Dunn Museum, Libertyville

Per Student $3 $5

15 student minimum, 30 student maximum.

For schools eligible for the Beyond the Classroom program, the program fee is waived and a transportation stipend is issued after the program date.

In-School Program

Runs 30-45 minutes.
