The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The goal of this project is to restore prairie and shrubland structure within a 25-acre section of Greenbelt Forest Preserve, North Chicago, IL (Work Site). The work of this project includes all labor, materials and equipment to remove 100% of non-native trees and shrubs and ~30% reduction of selected large diameter (>18” dbh cottonwood, box elder, willow, silver maples, ash, elm, and others. Work shall include mechanical and hand cutting (chain saws, hand saws, tracked skid-loaders, feller buncher etc.), girdling, off-site log removal, brush disposal via brush pile burning or chipping, and selective wick herbicide application to cut stumps and follow-up wick foliar application of resprouts.
