Adopt-an-Acre, Adopt-a-Mile
The Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves offers Lake County Forest Preserve users the opportunity to help make a difference by “adopting” an acre of their favorite forest preserve or a mile of their favorite trail.
Donations to the Adopt-an-Acre or Adopt-a-Mile program support long-term maintenance of the preserves and trails you love. With a $100 tax-deductible donation, you can honor a loved one or mark a special occasion. All gifts are acknowledged with a beautiful, personalized photo, making for a unique gift idea.
About the Foundation
As the charitable partner of the Lake County Forest Preserves, the Preservation Foundation’s mission is to extend and accelerate the agency's goals through private philanthropy to restore and preserve Lake County’s natural and cultural resources in perpetuity. Donations to the Foundation support Lake County Forest Preserve projects and programs that might otherwise go unfunded.
