What is a writer? What do they do that makes them a writer? Award-winning author Kim Sigafus will be giving a presentation on the ins and outs of being a writer. She'll discuss her writing life, how she got started, and what it takes to put someone on the path to becoming an author. Kim will discuss writing myths and truths, and the good, bad, and the ugly regarding indie publishing vs. traditional publishing. A Q&A will follow.

Having written over twenty books in fiction, non-fiction, young adult, and children's genres, Kim Sigafus has won several awards and accolades for her writing. She is the CEO of McIver Publishing, which helps people indie-publish as inexpensively as possible, and has guided many authors on their writing journey.Kim ran the Northeast Iowa Writers Retreat in Iowa for five years and is an accomplished Native American speaker. She is both indie-published and traditionally published, and knows the ins and outs of both worlds.
