Restoration Workday Sites

Almond Marsh, Grayslake

Entrance on Almond Road, 0.3 miles south of Belvidere Road (Rt.120). Park in the large lot.


Berkeley Prairie, Highland Park

Site located on the west side of S Ridge Road, just south of Route 22.


Captain Daniel Wright Woods, Mettawa

Enter preserve at intersection of Everett and St Mary's Roads. Park in main lot. We may shuttle to a different location based on restoration priorities.

Cuba Marsh, Deer Park

From Route 176 east, cross Route 41 and the train tracks, continue past the water tower on the north side of Route 176, and watch for the sign: "Skokie River Prairie—Lake Bluff Open Lands." Park in the gravel lot between the water plant and Mariani Landscaping office.


Prairie Wolf Slough, Bannockburn

Follow River Road north from Route 137. Enter at the stone gate on left, where River Road makes a sharp right.

On Route 137, 1 1/2 miles east of Route 21 turn south on to North Oak Grove Ave. Go four blocks to Wildwood Court and turn left. At the "T" of Wildwood Court and Park Lane, turn right.
