Nature Education

nature-guideVolunteers play an important support role in educating visitors about the environment, science and teaching outdoor skills. Commitments vary with position. Training is provided.

School Program Guides teach nature-themed school field trip programs offered primarily at Ryerson Woods (Riverwoods) or at Independence Grove (Libertyville). Volunteers ideally commit to at least one weekday per week from 9 am–2 pm. POSITIONS FULL

Public Program Guides lead nature programs for adults throughout the county, mainly weekends. POSITIONS FULL

Family Program Guides assist or lead Playdate With Nature programs and Community Campfire programs, mainly weekdays.
