This restored shelter at Nippersink Forest Preserve in Round Lake is tucked away and surrounded by mature trees that offer lots of shade.
The shelter area features an adjacent playfield, sand volleyball court, and close proximity to a boardwalk and scenic overlook. Picnickers also have access to the preserve's fishing lake and trails.
To access this shelter, follow the main entrance road to the third parking area.
