Adlai E. Stevenson II 1953 World Tour Around The World in 180 Days Traveling Exhibition

Adlai E. Stevenson II was an influential figure in the political history of the United States, and the world. He served as Governor of Illinois from 1949-1953, ran twice for President as the Democratic National Candidate in 1952 and 1956, and served as ambassador to the United Nations from 1961-1965. 

In 1953, at the height of the cold war, Stevenson was commissioned by Look Magazine to undertake a six-month, 30 nation tour to report on the social, political and economic conditions in each nation. Come join Stevenson as he meets with a young Queen Elizabeth II in England, Chiang Kai-shek in China, David Ben-Gurion in Israel, and other heads of state through never before seen photographs.

Exibition includes:

  • 40 framed graphic panels size 26”x38”—1,000-2,000 square feet
  • 12 Giclée travel poster designs for gift shop sales
