Lakewood has five designated fishing areas. Most are natural ponds and sloughs that were dammed to create deeper, permanent lakes and ponds. Ice fishing is permitted on Banana Lake only when conditions allow.

Directions

Located in Wauconda in southwestern Lake County. At corner of Route 176 and Fairfield Road, go west on Route 176 to preserve entrance.
