Camp: Fishing Camp 2
This virtual camp will feature a 1-hour live video session Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Educator, Mark Hurley. Each session will build on the previous day covering fish adaptations, fish pole maintenance and set up, baiting a hook, lure selection, casting techniques, hook removal, and much more. Campers will be given links to previously recorded short videos of Mark fishing at Independence Grove that can be viewed after the live sessions or on the days in-between.
There will be opportunities for anglers to share, either verbally or through posted photos, their own fishing experiences as well as ask questions. Campers questions will also be addressed in the live videos.
This camp is for children ages 12–14 by the first day of camp.
We are unable to make age exceptions because the activities are geared to cognitive, emotional and physical abilities of this camp's specific age range.
Screenshots, recordings, and other images may be periodically taken of participants in Forest Preserve District programs and activities.
