Come join us! No experience necessary. Restoration Workdays occur in dozens of sites around the county, some on weekdays and some on weekends. These are no-commitment, come to as many workdays as you can. Children 10 years and up are welcome with an adult (and waiver signed by legal guardian). Please be prompt; the group will often head off-trail and you may have a difficult time finding them. Dress for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required and long pants are recommended all year-round. Bring work gloves.
SPRING: Brush clearing, garlic mustard control, planting
SUMMER: Garlic mustard control, wildlife monitoring, weed management, planting, seed collecting
FALL: Brush clearing, seed collection, tree & shrub planting
WINTER: Brush clearing, sowing seed
Covid considerations Please have a mask handy. Fully vaccinated people are welcome to be maskless but anyone unvaccinated needs to wear a mask. Everyone is expected to treat all personnel with respect, including wearing a mask or maintaining extra distance upon request. Anyone with symptoms or who has been in contact with a covid-positive person should stay home.
New volunteers and groups of four or more, please RSVP to Kelly Burdick, so we have enough supplies for everyone. View all upcoming workdays »
