Join us for a fun-filled evening learning about these fascinating insects and how to make your yard an oasis for them.

Experience the magic of Ryerson Woods illuminated by the light of thousands of fireflies. Bring the kids out for an old fashioned night of catching (and releasing) fireflies while enjoying a roasted marshmallow next to a cozy campfire. 

A short educational presentation on firefly biology will begin promptly at 8:30 PM in the Welcome Center.

Fireflies usually begin displaying around 8:45 PM.

Bring a blanket or chair.

$3 residents, $5 nonresidents. Drop in program, no registration required. Adult supervision required. Children 3 and under free.
