Barrington Greenway Initiative Workday
Dive deep into the wilds of southwest Lake County to restore globally rare habitats of the Barrington Greenway.

Take a spring hike at Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve and see how brush-cutting efforts over the winter make a positive difference for native plants and wildlife.

Volunteers should dress for the work and weather, including long pants and sturdy shoes. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

If the weather is questionable (thunderstorms, heat, or subzero wind chill), please contact the coordinator below prior to attending the workday.

This workday is organized by the Barrington Greenway Initiative, a partnership between the Bobolink Foundation, Audubon Great Lakes, Citizens for Conservation, Lake County Forest Preserves, Forest Preserves of Cook County, and Friends of the Forest Preserves.
