Self-Guided Program-Maple Syruping
Learn the "sweet science" behind how trees make sap, and how we turn that sap into real maple syrup as you hike along this self-guided trail. Informational signs will be placed along a designated trail at Ryerson Woods for the entire month of March.
Self-Guided Program-Trivia Trails
(06:30 AM - 06:00 PM)
You may be walking the trails anyway so why not learn a little bit while you're there? Or perhaps this will be a new trail for you. Signs with trivia questions ranging from history, natural history and site-specific information will be placed along a designated trail.
Answers available on-site after the final trivia sign or found at www.LCFPD.org/resources
Virtual Nature Club-Maple Syrup
(03:30 PM - 04:00 PM)
Meet up after school virtually to learn about local nature with an experienced educator. Then put your knowledge to the test with "homework" that encourages you to explore these nature concepts in your backyard and beyond. New topic every month.
Virtual Program-Starting Native Plants From Seed
(07:00 PM - 08:00 PM)
