This immersive field trip delves into examples of social justice and civil rights movements within Lake County from the 1840s to the 1970s. Students will engage with primary sources such as documents, newspaper articles, and photographs that illustrate key moments in Lake County’s history. Through guided discussion and activities, students will analyze the sources to gain insight on the importance of local history and how relevant these issues still are today.
