The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
It is the responsibility of the contractor/operator to pre-inspect the site for hazards such as debris, rocks, fencerow, wood chip shards and logs, wet spots or other potentially damaging items. Only previously cultivated areas are considered part of this project, excluding areas deemed no longer accessible due to ground litter of woodchips/branches left behind from clearing operations. The District shall not be responsible for damage to equipment.
Contractor shall prepare soil in areas slated for seeding with light tillage (to a depth of three inches) using various tillage implements including, but not limited to: field cultivator, disc, harrow, chisel, or other approved implement/system.
Contractor shall make tillage pass(es) through the fields to provide soil exposure so that the area can be seeded in the winter of 2022, i.e. eliminate weed growth/reduce plant residue, provide a level soil surface, and ensure proper seed to soil contact. Soil clods shall not be larger than 1 inch in diameter; if larger clods exist, Contractor will be required to make additional passes until the site conditions are adequate. It is anticipated that Contractor will need to make a minimum of three passes through the fields to ensure these specifications are met; however, actual number of passes necessary will be dependent on the type of equipment used and the site conditions at the time the work is performed.
Contractor shall coordinate the start date of the work with the District Project Manager prior to the day they plan to begin soil preparation to affirm that weather and soil conditions are appropriate to begin work. Contractor shall also inform District Project Manager upon the completion of the soil preparation.
