The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
The Lake County Forest Preserve District (Owner) is bidding out 2 (two) invasive plant control projects: one located at Grant Woods Forest Preserve and the other at Middlefork Savanna Forest Preserve. Bidders can bid on one or both projects. The Owner intends to award each project to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
Each site’s project is described under Attachment B, Section 2 (Title, Description, Coordination, Goals, and Scope). In general, the Grant Woods Wetland Invasive Control Project seeks 99% herbicide (aquatic-approved) control of cattails (Typha) and purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) in a 10-acre portion of a 30-acre wetland basin during 2019 growing season.
Middlefork Savanna Forest Preserve Project shall supply season-long invasive plant management and provide multiple treatments throughout the preserve to control a variety of invasive plant species, on a per hour cost basis.
