The Lake County Forest Preserves will soon showcase a first-of-its-kind, net-zero education building at the Ryerson Conservation Area. Learn about net-zero design and the factors that go into creating a building that significantly reduces energy use, but also conserves land and water resources. Join John Taylor Schaffhauser, Project Director, Lake Flato Architects, and Becky Mathis, Landscape Architect, Lake County Forest Preserves, as they answer your questions about net-zero buildings LIVE.

This monthly Q&A series features a panel of educators and special guests excited to share their expertise about Lake County nature and history. Join us live via Zoom or Facebook every third Wednesday of the month for a new topic about the amazing history, creatures and places that make our county special.

FREE. Adult supervision required.
