Details

Bring your own boat (canoe, kayak) and paddle gear. Inflatable watercraft not recommended. After a brief safety talk on-land, we will paddle onto Sterling Lake to view the sunset, and later watch the full moon rise over the tree line.

Registration required.

Forms need to be completed for each participant. Download and fill these out prior to arriving, and bring them with the night of the program so the group can be on the water in time for the sunset.

Wear quick-dry clothes (no jeans, no 100% cotton fabric) and shoes with a heel strap and closed toes that will get wet (no flip-flops, Crocs or slides). Bring a water bottle.

Participants are expected to bring and wear life jackets properly while on the water and follow safety guidelines stated by the program leaders. 

Meet at the Sterling Lake boat launch at Van Patten Woods. Entrance is off Hwy 173, just east of Hwy 41. PDF map is available to download along with the required forms.
