Bring your own boat (canoe, kayak, SUP) and paddle gear to experience the sun set and full moon rise while on Sterling Lake. Co-led by a volunteer who knows the lake and the wildlife that use it well.
In case of unfavorable conditions for a paddle, the program may change to a hike rather than cancel.
Forms need to be completed for each participant. Download and fill these out prior to arriving so the group can be on the water in time for the sunset.
Participants are expected to wear appropriate paddle shoes that stay on (no flip-flops, Crocs or slides), follow safety guidelines stated by the program leader, and wear life jackets properly while on the water.
If the paddle changes to a hike, participants will be notified by email or phone call with details.
Meet at the Sterling Lake boat launch at Van Patten Woods. Entrance is off Hwy 173, just east of Hwy 41. PDF map is available to download along with the required forms.
