Although his speech is lost to history, we know Abraham Lincoln spoke in Waukegan on April 2, 1860. His speech was a barn burner, quite literally, since a local barn caught fire during his talk and he stopped to man a bucket brigade. In this presentation, author John Wasik, vice president of the Lake County Forest Preserves, delves into Abraham Lincoln's Waukegan speech, which was crucial to his presidential campaign. The research is based on his book "Lincolnomics," published in 2021.

All proceeds support the Preservation Foundation.

The program will take place in the North Shore Gas Classroom. Free with Museum admission.
