Details

Explore nature from a different perspective--on the water in a solo kayak. We will paddle the lake at Independence Grove, highlighting its unique features and some of its inhabitants. Suitable for beginners, although paddling experience is preferred.

Brief on-land paddling instruction is provided prior to launching the kayaks. Cost includes solo kayak, paddle, life jacket, dry bag.

 

Park in lot K and meet at the North Bay kiosk.

Wear quick-dry clothes (no jeans, no 100% cotton fabric) and shoes with a heel strap and closed toes that will get wet (no flip-flops, Crocs or slides). Bring a water bottle.

Each participant must sign the waivers and wear a life jacket properly when on the water.
