ThunderHawk Golf Club is a Robert Trent Jones, Jr., course nestled on 244 beautiful acres of forest, marsh and prairie. It is the first public course in Illinois to achieve Audubon Signature certification ThunderHawk has been named "Best in State" by Golfweek six years in a row and named one of "America's Top Golf Courses" by ZAGAT. The site was also named one of the top ten best municipal courses in the United States by Golfweek.

Golf Instruction
Learn the basics or fine-tune your golf game with the Lake County Forest Preserves' Golf Development Program. Led by PGA and LPGA professionals, the program gets adult and junior golfers of all levels in the swing, developing and improving skills and a love for the game. Golfers can register now for spring and summer group lessons at Countryside or ThunderHawk Golf Club. Private instruction is also available.

Getting to ThunderHawk
FROM INTERSTATE 94: Take I-94 north to IL Route 173. Exit IL Route 173 EAST. Proceed east to Lewis Avenue. Turn SOUTH (right) onto Lewis Avenue. Proceed south to 29th Street. Course entrance is is just past 29th Street on the west side of Lewis Avenue.
FROM IL ROUTE 41: Take IL Route 41 north to Wadsworth Road. Exit EAST on Wadsworth Road to Lewis Avenue. Turn NORTH (left) onto Lewis Avenue. Proceed north to 33rd Street. Course entrance is one-quarter mile north of 33rd Street on the west side of Lewis Avenue.
