Most kids love to run, climb and swing at playgrounds because it's fun, but research shows that play time is also essential to cognitive, physical and emotional development.

Treat your kids to some fun, fresh air and exercise in a natural forest preserve setting at one of our nine playgrounds. Most playgrounds have picnic shelters, toilets, drinking water and trails nearby.

A trip to the playground is also an ideal opportunity for parents to connect with their children. Take a spin on the slide and swing, then go exploring together in the preserve.

Smoke-Free Environments

Our playgrounds are smoke-free environments. Smoking is prohibited within 15 feet of playgrounds.
