On September 1, the Museum closed its doors at Lakewood Forest Preserve to begin the move to its new location in Libertyville. While the Museum is closed, learning will not stop. Our professional educators will continue to provide experience-based learning in the form of select field trips and in-school programs for the 2016–2017 school year. Educators will visit classrooms with artifacts and activities on a variety of local history topics. For details on school programs, contact Nicole Stocker at 847-968-3422 or email.
Our staff will offer scout programs on select days throughout the year. Check the website calendar or Horizons for scout program opportunities.

The field trip was fantastic! I was very impressed with the way the guide engaged the students (ranging in age from three to 16). The hands-on activities were unexpected and appreciated.
