Postcard Art Competition & Exhibition (PACE 2007)

This bi-annual juried exhibition celebrates the postcard as art and as visual document.

 

The exhibition showcases the 36 finalists selected from 468 entries submitted from the United States and Canada. The top 12 award winners each received a cash award and printed copies of the postcard made from their design. Twenty-four merit award winners are also included in the exhibition.

 

The original artworks are available for purchase as noted. Postcard sets made from the 12 winning images are available for purchase at the Lake County Discovery Museum gift shop, or by mail.

 

About the Juror

Lisa Stone is curator of the Roger Brown Study Collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has written articles for Image File, and is co-author, with Jim Zanzi, of Sacred Spaces and Other Places, a Guide to the Grottos and Sculptural Environments of the Upper Midwest. She has an abiding love for postcards, and the inexhaustible variety and potential that this precious combination of image and message provides.
