What's new at the museum

Don't miss fun programs and activities offered in conjunction with the Animal Architects exhibit. We've extended hours for the length of the exhibit, so you can now visit us one hour earlier, at 10 am, Monday through Saturday. Also check out special in-gallery talks offered every Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm. Celebrate the final week of the exhibit at Animal Architects Extravaganza, a day of fun, crafts and games, Monday, February 15. The exhibit closes February 21, 2010. Learn more.

New tot program series
Bring your tot out to the museum select Wednesdays this winter for Small Discoveries, a new program series for kids ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers. We'll explore a variety of topics through stories, hands-on activities, pretend play and simple crafts. The program is a great opportunity to learn, make new friends and get to know other families. Museum birthday parties
Looking for a unique place to host your child's birthday party? The museum offers a variety of fun, age appropriate parties, led by experienced staff. Explode a volcano, dig for fossils, create a bead necklace, play Potawatomi or pioneer games, make a movie or search for stolen loot! Parties include a 45 minute program and 45 minutes for activities and opening gifts. Learn more.
