In late May 2007, billions of periodical cicadas from Brood XIII will emerge from the ground throughout northern Illinois and parts of neighboring states. In celebration of this spectacular phenomenon, the Lake County Forest Preserve District offers cicada-related programs, special events, and other fun stuff.
