Mt. Wilson Observatory

D.H. Burnham & Co. designed the dome that houses the 100 inch Hooker Reflector at Mount Wilson Observatory. Curt Teich Postcard Archives 8AH3021. 1938.

The 100 inch Hooker Reflector was designated an International Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 1981. It was taken out of service in 1985. Curt Teich Archives 8AH3022. 1938.
