GATHER INFORMATION — BioBlitz generates a list of species found within the Preserve. Knowing what species occur in an area is the first step in successful habitat management. BioBlitz will allow us to identify species that we should monitor and/or control. This biological survey may identify unique attributes of the Preserve that we might not already know.

RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS — BioBlitz is designed to increase public awareness of the biodiversity in our own backyards and how these species improve the quality of our lives.

EXCITE KIDS ABOUT SCIENCE — BioBlitz is an excellent tool for exciting children about science. Children can visit the Tally Tent to meet the scientists,observe scientists at work, and explore species of plants and animals.
