World Wildlife Conservation Day
Lake County has the most threatened and endangered species of any county in Illinois. Drop in to learn how to help these species and others worldwide by investigating confiscated objects and visiting with live education animals.

Learn ways you can help save 12 local species identified by Chicago Wilderness, a regional conservation alliance, as priority species in the metropolitan area. Meet a live Blanding's turtle and discover how the Lake County Forest Preserve District, with the Illinois Natural History Survey, is conserving this priority species.

We'll also have on display confiscated wildlife parts from around the world.

FREE. No registration required.

Adult supervision required.
