Walk on the Wildflower Side: Rollins Savanna
Uncover the secrets of wildflowers. Learn the folklore and healing powers they hold.

Join us for a leisurely walk in a forest preserve setting. Along the way, you'll learn to identify some of the lovely wildflowers found in Lake County. You'll hear interesting anecdotes, and learn how certain plants were named or used by Native Americans and pioneers as natural medicines, decorations and food. Program changes by season and location. Attend several for a fuller appreciation.

Use Washington Avenue entrance. Meet at the kiosk. You may want to bring water, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a flower guide.
