1. Envision a Constituent Engagement Program for the Lake County Forest Preserves and the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves.
· Investigate programs at similar institutions and agencies, including charitable foundations that support government agencies, analyzing best practices in messaging and structure, and provide information on activities, engagement, relationship building, and revenue generation through these programs.
· Engage District and Foundation leadership and stakeholders, as appropriate and in consultation with District staff, to understand the ideal messaging and structure for a program.
· Analyze the potential base of support for a constituent engagement program in order to establish appropriate top-line message, structure, resourcing, and activity and revenue targets.
2. Create a Comprehensive Constituent Engagement Plan
· Develop a detailed plan that includes specific action items to achieve designated goals.
· Propose an implementation schedule with details on completion dates.
· Devise a multi-channel marketing/communications plan.
· Define a resource plan to implement the program, including how the work plan may be integrated into existing District operations and staffing and resource needs.
The successful proposer must be knowledgeable and experienced in creating new constituent engagement programs. Understanding of and experience working with government institutions and supporting foundations is a plus, as is knowledge of Lake County, the northern suburbs of Chicago, southern Wisconsin, and the Midwest.
