The Dunn Museum in Libertyville, will open at 11 am on Saturday, March 30 due to scheduled maintenance.
The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Owner invites sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work described in detail in the Contract and generally described as follows:
This project is has two invasive plant control components; hourly-priced herbaceous control efforts and acreage-priced invasive woody invasive plant control. Both herbaceous and woody control herbicide applications must achieve 98% control of, but not limited to: crown vetch, bird’s foot trefoil, garlic mustard, Canada thistle, common reed, sweet clovers, cattails, reed canary grass, and others. Woody Plant control efforts address invasive woody stem sprouts and resprouts associated with successfully-completed forestry mowing (FECON) projects conducted 2014 and 2015. Targeted woody species include, but not limited to: European black alder, buckthorn, honeysuckle, non-native rose, ornamental hawthorn, Rubus spp., grey dogwoods, non-native viburnum and others). The crew size (minimum 2) must adequately match the labor required to complete the target species in the 600+ project site and with appropriate chemical and tools at the appropriate time for effective control. The Owner shall work with the Contractor to develop a schedule, priority locations, and crew size requirements that meet the needs of the targeted task. The Successful Bidder shall provide all equipment, chemicals and adjuvants necessary to complete the tasks. The Contractor shall provide the water needed to mix chemicals. Water is not available at Work Site. Hourly rates should build in the time it takes to mix chemicals before traveling to the project site. The Contractor shall only bill for hours spent on site implementing on-the-ground herbaceous plant control project. The woody invasive plant control effort shall be billed by acreage.
No work will be conducted on rain-days or days when rain is likely to occur (See Treatment Protocol below).
