Sports Images of the 60s and 70s, by Donald Sparks
Don Sparks’ 30+year career as a photographer includes work for a number of major sports magazines (Sport) and other publications like Johnson Publishing (Ebony, Jet). Over 50 of his photos are in the files of the National Baseball Archive and the Negro League Baseball Museum. Other photo credits include contributions in “Find the Key Man” (Putman) and “With Grief Acquainted” (Follett), which was part of the Smithsonian exhibit “The War on Poverty”.
