Civil War Days - The Big Battle
The boom of cannons, the crack of rifle shots, and the galloping of horse hooves welcome you to the 15th annual Civil War Days Encampment. Ongoing drills, activities, and Civil War-era shopping available both days.
Sunday: The Big Battle
On Sunday, civilian camps and sutlers' shops remain open as units prepare for the narrated battle. Artillery, infantry, cavalry and medical units all contribute to this large-scale living history demonstration. Be sure to arrive by 12:30 pm to secure a good viewnig spot for the narrated battle. Presentations by Sojourner Truth, President and Mrs. Lincoln and Civil War-era Generals round out the day.
