This addition to Van Patten Woods Forest Preserve near Wadsworth expands is located just south of Russell Road and east of Route 41. Forest Preserve officials have wanted to purchase the parcel since 1992.
This small site contains several natural communities including savanna, marsh, old field and scrub forest, which provide good habitat for a variety of wildlife species. |
