The Indian Creek Watershed Project, Ltd. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting water quality education and improving conditions in the Indian Creek watershed.Our watershed encompasses parts of the villages of Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Lincolnshire, Lake Zurich, Kildeer, Buffalo Grove, Indian Creek, and drains from portions of the townships of Fremont, Ela, Vernon, and Libertyville.

Wetlands Research, Inc.
The Des Plaines River Wetlands Demonstration Project has transformed a 550-acre site of abandoned farm fields and gravel quarry pits into a rehabilitated ecosystem along the upper Des Plaines River in Lake County, Illinois. The project's goal has been to bring together a team of researchers to study and quantify how wetland and river restoration can improve water quality, increase flood control, provide recreational use, and expand wildlife habitat.
Youth Conservation Corps

YCC, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing environmental education, GED education, life and work skills development opportunities to young people through conservation projects in forest preserves and public lands within Lake County, Illinois. The YCC fosters growth and development among high school students and young adults, while working to maintain and preserve Lake County's natural lands and providing assistance to local human service agencies.
